Enhanced Universal Child Care Benefit

Since 2006, the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) has been delivering choice in child care to Canadian families by providing $100 monthly for each child under six. And now, our government is replacing the Child Tax Credit with an expanded and enhanced UCCB to provide even more support to Canadian families.

Beginning in 2015, we will increase the UCCB to $1,920 per year for children under the age of six, and expand the benefit by providing $720 a year for children aged 6 through 17.
About 4 million families are expected to benefit from these enhancements, as our Conservative Government continues to deliver real support to hard-working Canadian families.
