Shipley Announces Call for Applications for Canada Summer Jobs Program
December 5, 2014- Strathroy, Ontario – Bev Shipley, Member of Parliament for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, has announced that applications are now being accepted for the Canada Summer Jobs Program through the Government of Canada.
This popular program provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create summer jobs for students between the ages of 15 and 30. Last summer alone, 69 employers in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex received a total of just over $236,000 to create 104 jobs for students across the riding.

The online application, as well as the Applicant Guide, is available on the Service Canada website. Employers can also submit their application by mail or in person at any Service Canada Centre. The deadline to apply is January 30, 2015.
