The Parliamentary Internship Programme (PIP) is currently accepting applications for the 2015-16 Intern Year (deadline: January 31, 2015 ). It is an outstanding work-study opportunity for university graduates in all fields that provides invaluable experience for young Canadians seeking either academic or professional careers.
The Programme offers a paid ($23,000) 10-month internship that gives Interns the opportunity to work for MPs on both sides of the House of Commons, participate in a weekly seminar, produce an original research paper and undertake comparative study tours to legislatures in Canada and abroad. All Canadians and Permanents Residents under 35 years old with a university degree are eligible to apply.
PIP is independent of government and strictly non-partisan. It is an initiative of the Canadian Political Science Association delivered in collaboration with the House of Commons that is supported by public and private sector sponsors.
