Canada Summer Jobs 2017
MP Shipley announces Canada Summer Job Funding Application Period to Open December 5th
The application period for Canada Summer Jobs 2017 is starting earlier this year. Beginning December 5, 2016, Canada Summer Jobs applications will be available at Service Canada Centres and online at servicecanada.gc.ca/csj. Applications must be submitted by January 20, 2017. Employers will be able to complete and submit their applications online, by mail or in person (submission by fax is not available). Bev Shipley, M.P. for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex said it is important for employers to ensure their applications are submitted before the deadline closes as late submissions are not accepted.
“There are a large number of small businesses and non-profits throughout my Riding who rely on this funding and I want to ensure they know applications are now
being accepted,” Shipley said. “I also want to get the word out to employers who have not heard about the program.”
Canada Summer Jobs is a program that provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students. In 2016, 79 projects were approved, employing 167 students throughout Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
